Charming little realistic mouse sitting on a log with his acorns scattered about. Made by Castagna of Italy in 1988. It is done in alabaster and resin great detail and texture on every aspect. Measures 3.2" high to top of ears, just under 4" from back acorn to front of wood and 3 " side to side looking straight on. Overall condition is quite good without chips or cracks. Original p aper label on the base. I gave a quick rinse but didn't want to damage the label so detailed cleaning will be up to the buyer. Please refer to pictures and ask any questions prior to bidding. All Castagna figurines are cast from alabaster and resin. The alabaster is reconstituted with a resinous binder and poured into molds. This technology is known as "Cold Cast" molding. Once dried, the castings are removed from the molds. It is at this point where the talent of dedicated artisans and craftsmen hand-finish each sculpture. This item will ship wrapped and double boxed to protect it from the shipping gorillas across the country. I pack items quite well - as I would want my items packed - to ensure they arrive safely.
